Lynn Underwood, a celebrated author with a rich tapestry of life experiences, has made a significant mark in the literary world with his insightful fiction, delving deep into the complexities of the human spirit. Born and raised on a New Mexico farm near the Mexican border, Lynn's early life was a lesson in navigating diverse cultures, laying the groundwork for a lifetime of exploration and understanding. Following his military service, Lynn pursued academic excellence, earning dual degrees in journalism and engineering from NMSU. During his extensive 35-year tenure in building safety, Lynn Underwood not only led and supervised teams across several states and countries but also pioneered the integration of innovative construction materials and sustainable practices into building codes. His forward-thinking approach included advocating for the use of cargo containers as buildings, straw bale construction, green building techniques, and grey water systems. His efforts extended to promoting deconstruction over demolition, material re-use, and the application of various forms of adobe, demonstrating his commitment to environmentally responsible building practices alongside his leadership and technical expertise.
